Audirvana Studio and What it Means for Audirvana Users - Licenses and Installation - Audirvana.

That is absolutely true! I love Roon for its UI and its sheer endless choices of music you can have, but regarding its sound quality, others are better. It has various system options, also a Roon-embedded mode, but to me, the Stylus option sounds best. For Windows 10 I have three players to recommend you.

The first player has a great sound quality. It has an excellent Bit-perfect mode. It upsamples PCM tracks. It has thousands of radios. It plays even exotic formats that no player wants to read.

And many other features…. The Application exists for Windows, iPhone and Android. It can be used with a DAC and with a network solution. The player is called Neutron Music Player. It has a Russian UI, made in an atomic bunker, but its sound is like the voice of God. Its library management is also good, once you are used to it. It is a Japanese audiophile player, called TuneBrowser.

It does not support streaming and is only for local playback. It sounds good, and offers UI and UE of exceptional quality. The display offers a highly custumable interface. Really remarkable. You can get a free fully-featured version of this player from the Microsoft Store that you can keep forever. Its only restriction is that the library cannot exceed tracks. This audiophile player was supported by Neil Young.

The player sounds good, but plays PCM tracks that are up to I have already posted some comments on why I bought HQPlayer in the forums, so I will not rehash old thoughts. However, I want to share my recent discovery that some of you may want to try or not. I did not install Ubuntu with my Windows drive plugged in because I did not want the Ubuntu boot manager to overwrite my Windows boot manager.

The sound quality is there, but more importantly, the music brought a sense of immersion to it. The music is engaging and pulls me away from whatever I am doing at the moment like reading a book, etc. I am talking about a music experience that has gone beyond simple sound quality. It would help if you tried it yourself. Make it a fun project, if you may. Ubuntu OS is free and super-easy to install.

And if you own it, you owe yourself to give it a try to listen to the player under the Ubuntu OS system. If you paid for HQPlayer, you paid for the multiple platforms use as long as you are only using it on one PC at a time. Disclaimer: the sound experience I achieved is based on my PC and audio-hardware equipment, and of course, my ear. If you are interested in trying new stuff, I believe you may be surprised if you pursue the Ubuntu HQPlayer project. I had Audirvana for 3 years and moved over to roon following AS subscription model.

I even wrote mails to the support of Audirvana, asking them to do it. I tried Roon trail against new Audirvana, Studio tonight, the sound of Roon has natural richer sound and better sound stage! Audirvana EQ is very overrated indeed! I will be buying Roon subscription…. I asked the question because I tried this new upsampling and it performs better than SOX.

I performed the upsampling with 24 bit Flac files. Let me say this, if Audirvana has any chance to survive at all, Damien must hire a CEO that has a background in sales and marketing. Damien wants to market his product as a subscription.

He has to create value to sell that. Things must work and work well. So far it has been painful to watch. Would be great but there are a lot of people still using Mac os As your website states you will no longer have 3.

Not to mention you went with a subscription model like ROON? Another bad move that will really turn away customers. You say it is because of constant updates to the software…Come on we all know that is just a load…People can download updates with no problem but to go this way is wrong because most people are against subscription model.
